Internship in Health Service Psychology

Welcome to our Doctoral Internship Program in Health Service Psychology at the Student Counseling Service, Texas A&M University. We are in our 34th consecutive year of APA accreditation.  We received full APA accreditation in the winter of 2012 and our next site visit will be in 2019. As a staff, we are committed to offering and maintaining one of the best possible internship programs in the nation. We are very invested in our internship program and we are committed to the highest level of excellence in the training that we offer. In keeping with our commitment to providing the highest level of excellence in the training we offer, we strongly abide by the principles and ideals of our diversity statement, and value the diversity of each new intern class.

I know that the process of intern selection can be a long and stressful journey and we wish you success in your search for the program that best suits you and your needs.  Remember that you bring your own intensive training and experience to the application process, and that you have much to offer the site you choose. The site which will be a good match will be one where your personal training needs are met. If after reading our materials, you believe our program is a good fit for you - we welcome your application. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions.

Sincerely,
Jeanette Madkins, PhD, ABPP
