ACCOUNTANTS/AUDITORS prepare, analyze, and verify financial reports and taxes, and monitor
information systems that furnish this information to managers in business, industry, and the government. A 4-year
degree is required for this occupation. Average salary ranges from $43,000 to $82,500 a year.
Distribution & Dispatching
AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS coordinate the movement of air traffic to make certain that planes
stay a safe distance apart. Their immediate concern is safety, but controllers must also direct planes
efficiently to minimize delays. A 4-year degree is required for this occupation. Average salary ranges from
$76,500 to $111,000 a year.
FLIGHT DISPATCHERS authorize all take-off of aircraft and monitor by radio the flight's
progress to its destination. In cooperation with pilots, flight dispatchers furnish flight plans that enable
aircraft to arrive at destinations on schedule with the maximum payload and the least operating cost. A 4-year
degree is required for this occupation. Average salary ranges from $28,500 to $39,500 a year.
