Carrie Klemt Bio

Psychologist I

Carrie KlemtPersonal Statement: Howdy, y’all! I’m excited to be in Aggieland and consider it an honor to work with the students here at A&M. I believe that everyone has an interesting story to tell and I really value the opportunity to join students as their next chapters are written. I think that the best type of mental health care is the kind that you can take with you, so I strive to help students not only feel better in the here-and-now, but to develop specific coping skills that can be used for years to come. I have experience working in a number of different settings with a wide variety of people, so I really value being able to connect with diverse students. I am particularly passionate about empowering students from under-served backgrounds, so I am always looking for ways to advocate for social justice on campus.

On a personal level, I’m a native Buckeye but love living in Texas—especially during the “winter.” I spend most of my free time staying cool with my partner and our two pups.  Thanks and Gig ‘em!
