Professional Counselor I

Personal Statement:
I grew up in Kansas and moved to College Station after graduate school to begin a career at Texas A&M University. I really enjoy the college atmosphere Texas A&M University has to offer as well as the wonderful community. Coming to work each day is new and exciting for me. I find working with college students who are choosing new paths to explore and working to survive the transitions of college and adult life very rewarding. I have a desire to help students reach their potential at Texas A&M University and even discover untapped strengths they have not thought to use. My areas of interest are academic and career counseling; I believe through processing and being aware of behavior, students can make the changes desired to be successful at Texas A&M and in life. Outside of work, I truly enjoy and treasure time with my husband and two beautiful daughters (and dogs, horses and cats). Outside activities, such as skiing, horseback riding, sitting in a hammock, and any water activity are relaxing for me. I'm a former student-athlete who finds enjoyment in (and now prefers) watching and supporting athletic events.
