Psychology Intern

Personal Statement:
I am excited to be interning at the Student Counseling Center, where I very much enjoyed seeing clients as part of my previous training. I find working with college students to be extremely fulfilling because of their openness to learning and growth. I have particularly enjoyed working with individuals as they learn to build healthy relationships, manage difficult emotions, develop stronger identities, and gain higher self-esteem. I value the process of genuine self-exploration as it occurs in both in individual and group therapy (and, for that matter, in contexts outside of counseling). However, I try to work collaboratively with clients and to support whatever work is important to them.
