Santana Simple Bio

Professional Counselor II

Personal Statement:
Santana SimpleI love being a part of the SCS staff and Texas A&M community! College is an exciting time as students explore their individual identities, interests, and take steps toward creating their ideal lives.  My professional interests include helping students increase self-awareness and utilize their strengths to effectively navigate the challenges along their paths. My model of therapy is student centered and I strive to meet each student where they are on their personal journey. I focus on treating the whole person and create a safe space for students to gain clarity on their values, strengths, and personal goals. I coordinate the suicide intervention program for the SCS, and currently provide QPR (Questions, Persuade, Refer) trainings to faculty, staff and students across the campus community.  When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, shopping, and watching movies!
