The Student Counseling Service provides testing services for SCS counselors as well as several tests that
support the local and academic community. Tests and assessment instruments such as the STRONG Interest
Inventory, the Myers Briggs Type Inventory and the Discover Program are provided for TAMU students for
academic, career and personal counseling appointments and workshops. Because counseling services at the SCS
are funded by Student Service Fees, there is no charge for testing for current TAMU students. Additionally,
the Miller Analogies Test is provided free for A&M students and for a small charge for non-students. The
SCS Testing Center, as time or space allows, provides proctoring of correspondence course exams. This service
is free for A&M students; non-students are assessed a small charge.
Due to increased administrative requirements by the Texas GED Unit in Austin, the Texas A&&M University
Student Counseling Service regrettably no longer provides the GED Test. All inquiries concerning GED Testing
should contact the Region VI GED Testing office at 936-435-8332 or the Texas GED Unit in Austin at 512-463-9292.
