Due to increased administrative requirements by the Texas GED Unit in Austin, the Texas A&&M University Student Counseling Service regrettably no longer provides the GED Test. All inquiries concerning GED Testing should contact the Region VI GED Testing office at 936-435-8332 or the Texas GED Unit in Austin at 512-463-9292.

At last count, the State of Texas had approximately 180 GED Test Centers. Most testing centers will be willing to assist you in finding the nearest test center. To obtain a duplicate GED Diploma or scores you will need to contact the GED Unit in Austin. The telephone number there is 512-463-9292 and is answered by a menu system. They will provide the information needed to apply for a duplicate. In general, you will be required to fill out a form that you can obtain at http://www.tea.state.tx.us/ged/records.html. You will have to send this form to the address on the form with a $5.00 check or money order.
