Nathan Ellison Bio

Nathan Ellison, M.S., LPC-Intern
Professional Counselor I, Supervised by Bethany Smith, MA, LPC-S, NCC

Personal Statement:
Howdy! I am excited to be a part of the Student Counseling Services at Texas A&M University. College is an exciting part of life where so much can change in a very short amount of time. While these changes are welcomed for some, they can lead to unforeseen challenges for others. As a counselor I strive to create an environment where students feel welcomed, wanted, and comfortable exploring the challenges of college. I want to walk along students and help them discover they have ability to overcome whatever difficult circumstances life has placed in front of them. I personally believe that counseling should not be seen as a crutch for the weak, but instead as tool for those who are strong. Outside of work I enjoy traveling with my wife, visiting friends, working on film sets, going to concerts, carpentry, photography, and participating in anything else that is competitive.
