Tamyra Crossley Bio

Tamyra Crossley, M.A.
Psychology Intern, Supervised by Jason Hindman, Ph.D., ABPP

Personal Statement: A born and raised Southern girl, I understand what it means to make others feel welcome and that is a comfort that I try really hard to extend to my clients.  College should be a really fun, yet challenging time of exploring who we are and understanding who we want to be and sometimes that can be tricky.  That’s where I come in.  I see my role as a confidante through a time of excitement, confusion, and/or distress, whereby I use empathy, collaboration, and a little bit of humor to promote a safe holding space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, figuring out who they are, and working through challenging issues.
My personal time is usually spent with my face in a book, painting, sketching, or writing, watching movies, and listening to music.
